Paid Media Specialist (Freelance)

Join our energetic, integrated digital marketing team at Creative Media Marketing, serving some of the most exciting brands in beauty and personal care. We are looking for a paid media specialist who will work closely with our digital and account teams to support all paid initiatives that work to increase brand awareness and conversions online. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Executing and optimizing cutting-edge digital campaigns for brands in the personal care and beauty space

  • Providing ongoing actionable insights into campaign performance to digital team and key stakeholders 

  • Measuring, and evaluating relevant paid media KPIs

  • Building out media buys and overseeing the day-to-day execution of paid media for various ad platforms such as Facebook Ads, Google AdWords, and Pinterest Ads 

  • Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion and optimization for search engine optimization 

  • Research and implement search engine optimization recommendations

  • Partnering with team to develop and implement email personalization strategies for multiple clients 

  • Developing and coding email marketing list segmentation for all direct and interactive marketing campaigns 

  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies  

 Desired Skills and Experience: 

  •  2-3 years experience in paid media or PPC, preferably in an agency or CPG/beauty setting 

  • Competence running Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns in Facebook Ads Manager, Power Editor, and AdEspresso as well as experience with Twitter and Pinterest’s ad platforms. 

  • Experience with search engine optimization and search engine marketing tools such as Moz, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner

  • Solid understanding of Google Adwords execution, including both display and search network

  • Experience with Facebook Insights, Google Analytics and other analytics platforms

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and marketing/email automation platforms (i.e. Mailchimp) a plus 


PR Account Director

CMM is looking for a self-motivated, pro-active Account Director to join our dynamic PR team. The Account Director will work on several well-known beauty brands and report directly to the team’s Vice President while overseeing a team of 2-3 people.

Responsibilities Include

  • Working with clients to uncover and identify business needs and objectives

  • Crafting appropriate strategies, timelines, budgets and implementation plans

  • Anticipating client needs and identifying issues/concerns in order to proactively develop solutions

  • Developing broad industry expertise with a regional and national scope

  • Building trust, credibility, and client referrals.

  • Initiating regular contact with client contacts to review priorities, share counsel and garner feedback

  • Tracking results for clients and then determining media targets and goals

  • Reviewing press materials, proposals, agendas, weekly client reports

  • Leveraging strong relationships with senior editors to generate results and develop strategic opportunities

  • Advising and mentoring team members on appropriate media strategy

  • Attending media tours and managing event planning

  • Overall program and budget management for clients and each campaign

  • Helping with new business including generating leads, research, developing proposals, attending new business meetings and presenting ideas

Ideal Candidate Will

  • Have a minimum of 7 years of experience pitching consumer beauty and lifestyle product accounts

  • Have strong media contacts with beauty editors at the top national consumer publications

  • Be creative, resourceful and have a keen attention to detail

  • Be able to contribute to a team atmosphere and work well with others

  • Do whatever it takes to provide the ultimate service to both clients and the media

  • Have a sense of humor, a sense of loyalty and be able to think outside of the box

  • Be able to meet deadlines and thrive in a fast paced atmosphere

  • Demonstrate ability to plan and prioritize a team’s workload, keeping Vice President informed of all developments relating to client work

  • Pitch and secure placements for our clients in national consumer print and broadcast media outlets

  • Oversee performance of AE and SAE

  • Draft and edit press releases, invitations, background information sheets, status reports

  • Develop a greater, more detailed understanding of client business, markets and issues affecting them
